Keighley was a rural district in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1938. It included three civil parishes adjacent to the municipal borough of Keighley. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from Keighley rural sanitary district. When the district was abolished in 1938 two of the civil parishes were transferred to the neighbouring rural district of Skipton and the third was absorbed by Keighly Municipal Borough. Since 1974 the area has been partly in Bradford Metropolitan Borough in West Yorkshire and partly in the Craven district of North Yorkshire.
