Hancock County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States. As of 2000, the population was 71,295. Its county seat is Findlay6 and was named for John Hancock, the first signer of the Declaration of Independence. The Hancock County area has a strong connection with the Toledo Metropolitan Area and upon other opinions, it is sometimes considered part of the metropolitan area.
