Carthage is a city in Jasper County, Missouri, United States. The population was 14,378 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Jasper County and is nicknamed "America's Maple Leaf City."[1]

Carthage is part of the Joplin, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area.
