Zachariah3 Seymour (John2, Richard1), of Hartford Conn., born at Hartford 10 Jan. 1684/5, was living there 14 Feb. 1754. … He was chosen Collector on the South Side of the Little River, 18 Dec. 1711. He was chosen, 20 Dec. 1720, one of the Inspectors to see that the act concerning the cutting of wood on the Commons be duly executed, and reappointed 1721, 1726, 1728, 1732, and 1739.He was chosen Selectman, 17 Dec. 1724. He was Surveyor of Highways, 6 Dec. 1743, and one of the Inspectors of Wood. He was Sergeant of the Hartford Train Band. He and his wife were admitted to the South Church, 23 June 1723."
