    Several sources say he graduated from Yale (Source:The history of the church of North Middleborough, Massachusetts : in six discourses preached by its acting pastor, S. Hopkins Emery and Source:History of the Reed family in Europe and America). Note that unlike his brothers John, Solomon and Samuel who did graduate from Yale and become ministers, there is no bio for Timothy in Source:Dexter, Franklin Bowditch. Biographical Sketches of the Graduates of Yale College With Annals of the College History. Instead Timothy Reed graduated from Dartmouth College in 1782, and consequently he has a bio in Source:Sketches of the Alumni of Dartmouth College.
