↑ The website Descendants of George Vaughan suggests that Mercy is the youngest daughter, b. abt. 1664, probably in Middleborough, and presumably the record of her birth would have been destroyed during King Philip's War in 1676. She is clearly mentioned in George's will of 30 Jun 1694 as "my daughter Mercy Due".
