Mary Irene Wilke, 85, died at her home in Kalispell Monday.
She was born April 2, 1899 in Arriba, Colo., a daughter of Elbert and Nellie Nixon. As a child she moved with her family to Kalispell where she graduated from Flathead County High School. She taught school at the Brocken and Ferndale schools.
On Nov. 15, 1923, she married Carl F. Wilke in Kalispell. The couple farmed on the same farm all their lives.
She was a lontime member of the Mountain View Birthday club and the Bethel Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, on April 28, 1979 and a brother.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Carlene) Brooner of Lakeside, Louise Haynie of Seattle, Wash. and Mrs. Ken (Elaine) McAllister of Juno Alaska; a brother , Donald C. Nixon of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
