Copied from "Historical and Biographical annals of Columbia and Montour Counties, Pennsylvania", Vol II, page 730: "Several years after the death of his first wife Mr. Colley [Alexander Colley] married Martha McHenry Stiles, widow of John Stiles, of Benton, and by so doing he became is own son's father-in-law, since Robert LaFayette Colley had previously married her daughter, Martha Jane Stiles. Alexander Colley survived his wife only a few years, her death occurring at the age of ninety."
