    An 86-year-old man died enroute to hospital in Barry's Bay early Monday morning following a small fire in the downstairs bedroom of his Cameron St. residence.

    Dead is Henry (Harry) Louie Zummach. Mr. Zummach sustained burns to his hands and lower pars of his body in the fire, which erupted at about 2 a.m. Following the fire, he sat up but passed away a short time later in the ambulance while being transported to St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Cause of death was due to shock.

    According to OPP officer Koit Rull of Killaloe, it is believed that Mr. Zummach awoke during the night and was smoking a cigarette when the mattress of his bed caught fire. His wife, Anna, awakened shortly after the fire started and she managed to douse most of the flames in the bed with wet towels. The Killaloe Fire Department responded to the alarm,
