In the Saline Creek Baptist Church minutes at Tennessee State Library and Archives, p. 31, Henry and Penny King were signers of the church's covenant. On 15 Jul 1815, Henry was admonished for a dance and gambling that occurred at his house.

In the index Acts of Tennessee 1796-1830, Henry King is listed as an alderman of Stewart County in 1820.

  3. Henry is listed as the second son in his father's will, and the 1787 North Carolina census shows that Charles King Jr. had two sons so Henry appears to have been born by 1787.
