MOYE, Helen Croy, 91, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blacksburg. Mrs. Moye was born on December 28, 1912 in Staffordsville, Va. and was a daughter of the late Pearl Stewart and Lula Williams Croy. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Walter Moye and son Terry Gene Moye. She was a life long member of the Sheffey Memorial Methodist Church at Staffordsville, Va. Mrs. Moye served a number of years on the board of the Giles County Department of Social Services and was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club of Staffordsville for 25 years. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Nancy Moye of Christiansburg, Dr. Jerry W. and Lillian Moye of Houston, Texas, W. Daniel (Danny) and Reida Moye of Pearisburg; two daughters, Mildred Ruth Stafford of Blacksburg, Mary Jane Stafford of Christiansburg, 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ottie Quesenberry of Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Doug Kanney officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Sheffey Memorial Church in Staffordsville, c/o Bud Randall, 160 Parcell Lane, Staffordsville, Va. 24167.

One of her favorite cousins was Mary Kate Croy.
