  1. 1.0 1.1 The website Descendants of George Vaughan suggests that George is the youngest son, b. abt. 1670, probably in Middleborough, and presumably the record of his birth would have been destroyed during King Philip's War in 1676. He is clearly mentioned in his father George's will of 30 Jun 1694 as "my youngest son George Vaughan". The same website says George's brother sold land that belonged to George on 23 Dec. 1708, the deed saying "his brother being deceased".
