    Daniel Alvin, son of Daniel and Christiana (Loughner) Delo, was born in Clarion borough. June 28, 1846. He was educated in Clarion common schools and academy. He served three months in Captain B. B. Dunkle’s company at the time of Morgan’s raid in Ohio, during the civil war. He also clerked in the provost marshal’s office at Meadville to the close of the war. He died in 1865 in Meadville.
