Betty J Boughey

Betty J Boughey, 77, of West Toledo, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 20 01, in The Toledo Hospital. Betty retired in the early 1980's from the Luc as CO Sheriff's Office where she worked in the office. Prior to that she w orked for the Lucas CO Welfare Department, in accounts receivable and paya ble for the former Toledo Scale, the office of McKesson Appliance, the pay roll department of the former National Biscuit CO and started her worki ng career selling bonds at the former Toledo Trust Company. During busy en rollment time Betty worked in the admissions department of the Universi ty of Toledo as a volunteer and still found time to bowl on two leagu es at Ottawa Lanes and pursue her love of golf. She and her husba nd of 53 years, Orville, had a cottage at Sweezy Lake in the Irish Hills a nd a winter home in Port RicheyFL. She was also a member of the Dendarah C ourt #10 L.O.S.N.A Betty is survived by her husband, Orville; son, James (Leatha) Boughey; da ughter, Deborah Browning; brother, Luther (Billie) Whitmore; and grandchil dren, Jeffrey Boughey, Michael Browning, Tracy (Matt) Ryan and Brian, Ch ad and Christopher Browning. Friends may call Friday from 1-9 p.m. at the Boyer VanWormer Scott Funer al Home, 5055 Secor Rd. (N of Laskey) where funeral services will be he ld Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. The family prefe rs tributes be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
