For upwards of twenty years from the organization of this body, but little U known of their history, and the first information we gain respecting them, they were in a difficulty so serious about two of their gifted brothers, by the name of Bray and Oxison, as to call for the aid of a council from the churches of Cnhansry, Pennepeck, and Welsh Tract, whose ministers then were Messrs. Timothy Brooks, Abel Morgan, and Elisha Thomas, by whose friendly advice their affairs were placed in a favorable train of adjustment, and in a short time harmony was restored. |
