Thanks Don I appreciate this new information. I gather then that the left and right units are additions by Dr. Ashwortht? Good to know that its been relocated out of the area. Probably no historic register listing for it since its been relocated and reconstructed, but the fact that the original cabin still survives in some form is good. There are very few period homes surviving in SW VA. I've noticed that this is quite different from NW NC, where you can't shake a stick without hitting a pioneer structure. --Q 20:17, 6 March 2009 (EST)
