Image Information
In the late 1990s in an interview with spouse William Henry Roll, Juana Carmen Herrera Identified two of the women in the photograph. In the second row on the left, her aunt Maria, and on the right her mother Rosa Mendez. Carmen said she did not know who the older woman in the front was. I believe both of the young ladies have their hands on the sholders of the elder lady because she is their mother, Carmen Mendez. A photograph, dated 2 May 1823, shows an older woman with two younger women behind.
