English translation: LAST OF THE MOHICANS (Article in "De Telegraaf" 12 Aug 1983) Teunis Cornelis Keuzenkamp is no more. A few days ago, died this Dutchman at the venerable age of 104 years in Brussels .

Tom-his friends-was the last surviving European volunteer , who in 1900 went to South Africa to fight against the British in the Boer War on the side of the Boers.

Battles He stayed there for six months and was involved in battles in Dalmanutha, under the command of Commander Kruger, Nelspruit and Komatipoort.
