Sept. 22. We had a nice rain here today. It will stop the cotton picking for a while.

Messrs. Prescott Vincent and Raymond Sanner will make a trip to Lake Charles next week in their new boat, the Hilma.

A crowd of young folks from here attended a wedding at Grand Lake Thursday, returning Friday. They report a very pleasant time.

Arsile Benoit of Drew's farm was a business caller here yesterday.

Leon Devers was down today looking after his stock.

Mrs. Caroline Little made a flying trip to Choupique Saturday, returning Sunday.

Mrs. John Portie is visiting her daughter in Lockport, Mrs. Julia Elender.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Little, Jr., are the happy parents of a new daughter.

Little Lucy Portie is on the sick list this week, but not very seriously.

Mrs. John Benoit, Sr., spent last week with her son on Choupique, Ducie Benoit.
