New-York Daily Tribune, February 9, 1844, P 3, Proquest Historical Newspapers Church Festival and Fair. – The ladies of 4th Congregational Church, under the Pastoral care of the Rev. Dr. Wallace, will hold a Festival and Fair to aid the Church in the erection of a House of Worship on the 14th of February, 1844 (Valentine Day) in the large and splendid Saloon at the corner of Charlton and Varick streets. Refreshments will be served both afternoon and evening. To prevent collision and give satisfaction to visitors, the large Saloon will be appropriated exclusively to music,or meandering & c. The table will be set in a room distinct from the Saloon and each person will be seated and waited upon by the Female Managers. Tickets can be obtained at Miller’s Music Saloon, 329 Broadway, I.B. Arker, 4 Vandam street; J. Tabor’s Confectionary, 293 Bleecker street, at this office, and at the door of the Saloon on the day and eveing of the Festival. The New-York Association of Amiteurs under the direction of Mr. Naibell, have kindly volunteered their services on the occasion.
