Family:Samuel Francis and Unknown (1)

Researchers have assigned the Nancy Francis who is reported on the 1850 Mortality Schedule as dying in December 1849 as the spouse of Samuel. They also report her birth year as c1805 which conflicts with her reported age at death of 34. No evidence has been presented to show that Samuel's wife was named Nancy. Further research is needed.

The Hobson's have a standard pedigree tree and on it Nancy Martin, b. 1805/1806 in Ireland, d. 1/21/1850 in Stephenseon Co. IL, buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery was the wife of Samuel Francis and he was b. 1805 in Ireland. Samuel's parents are listed as Jonathan Francis, b. abt. 1775 in Mile Cross Co. Down, Ireland and d. Jan 1860 in Davis, Stephenson Co. IL and he married Christiana Francis, b. 1780 Ireland.
