Long Island Genealogies by Mary Powell Bunker (1895), p. 221, indicates that Richard Jackson married Jane Seaman, daughter of Jacob. While it is known that Richard's wife's name was Jane, it appears that she was not Jane Seaman, the daughter of Jacob Seaman of Oyster Bay. Jane Seaman, the daughter of Jacob Seaman of Oyster Bay, married Daniel Jackson, son of (presumably a different) Richard Jackson, 20 Apr 1755 in Hempstead, according to The Seaman Family in America ..., p.56, and Adventures for God, p. 168 - the latter being a transcription from the church records. Even if the church records are incorrect in the name of the groom, 1755 is too late for the marriage of Richard and Jane Jackson, parents of the children listed here. References
