NO trace of his marriage with Jean Williamson, or of her death, but in the 1841 Census Allan is listed as living with his mother Mary (then aged 63) in Hurlford, with his son Allan, then aged 8, and so it is likely that Jean died before then. Allan then remarried to Catherine Campbell. His daughter Mary is listed in the 1851 Census, living with Allan and his wife Catherine who he married in 1843, but was born in 1838/9, so must also have been Jean's daughter. (S1)
