Abraham and Harriet were born and raised in New York. Sometime around 1835 they moved to Lenawee County, Michigan with their three children Catherine, Alamander, and Lewis, aged 8, 4, and 1. Their youngest child Samuel was born in Michigan. They continued to live there for the rest of lives.
Oldest daughter Catherine married late at 27. She married a widower name William Parke and they moved to Valparaiso, Indiana.
