Discussion

The above persons have been frequently identified with each other in various genealogies. For example, some researchers believe that Andrew Cowan (2) of Beverley's Manor is the same Andrew Cowan who married Mary Walker daughter of John Walker III of the Wigton Walker line, and moved to SWVA about 1771. Some identify him as the same Andrew Cowan who appears in Jefferson County TN after 1791, and later in Sullivan County TN, and Sevier County TN.
