WeRelate:Suggestions/Odd characters in Eastern European places and sources

Example: Source:Shiri︠a︡ev, E. E. Belarus : Rus Belai︠a︡, Rus Chernai︠a︡ I Litva V Kartach and Place:Balaklii︠a︡, Kharkiv, Ukraine.

In checking a small sample of places, instead of Balaklii︠a︡, the place is Balakliia (I think just the swoop needs to be removed). --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:59, 5 May 2011 (EDT)

The sources came over this way from the FHLC (follow the FHLC link to see what I mean). I could write something to remove all swoops, but I'm not sure that's the right thing in all cases. They may be need to be renamed individually.--Dallan 14:28, 17 May 2011 (EDT)
