WeRelate:Suggestions/Immigration/Emigration as a family-associated field

I'm working on adding a family from a published genealogy where the family emigrated to the United States from Ireland. The present site functionality requires that I add an emigration/immigration line item to each of the family members. My thinking is that, like marriage data, immigration could be added to the Family template so that at least husband and wife could share/inherit this information. Thoughts?

Personally I dislike items on Family page because each are formatted with name of spouse, and I think hide the marriages which are much more important. Besides that personal preference, I would point out that many families emigrate in pieces, especially if the children are grown or before marriage, or before subsequent marriages. So I think adding it to the Person page is the correct way to handle this. --Jrich 04:01, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
