Debbie Freeman --DFree 01:05, 24 September 2009 (EDT) HELLO! I AM RESEARCHING MY WILLIS FAMILY. THE COLONIAL HENRY WILLIS [1691-1740] WAS MY #6 GREAT-GRANDFATHER. HIS 1ST WIFE WAS ANN ALEXANDER - DAUGHTER OF DAVID ALEXANDER & ANN MORGAN. DAVID ALEXANDER'S MOTHER WAS ANN POPE [1635-1668] OF VIRGINIA AND DAUGHTER OF NATHANIEL POPE & LUCY LUCE. I KNOW HER 2ND HUSBAND WAS JOHN WASHINGTON [FATHER OF AUGUSTINE WASHINGTON AND GRANDFATHER OF GEORGE WASHINGTON] AS THEY ARE BURIED TOGETHER. BUT I CANNOT FIND THE NAME OF HER 1ST HUSBAND - DAVID ALEXANDER'S FATHER. CAN I FIND SOME HELP HERE?--Mustang 11:42, 24 September 2009 (EDT) Hi, you can try the Find duplicates linl under the more menu. You might try this on more than one page. You may find someone researching a common ancestor. Otherwise, when someone uploads a gedcom with a common ancestor, you will get an email. Welcome to WeRelate. :) --sq 11:46, 24 September 2009 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Unknown Alexander reply [25 September 2009]Hello Mustang, Good Morning. Sorry for the delay in my reply to your message. I noticed that you (User: Mustang) have not uploaded a GEDCOM, so from the information on your message I searched WeRelate and found the following as the closest matches: Family: Henry Willis and Ann Alexander (1) Family: Nathanial Pope and Lucy Unknown (1) Person: Ann Pope (1) You might want to look at those and see if they are what you are searching for. If you find an error, or wish to add information, please choose the Talk page for the page, and leave a message, or you may choose edit (at the top) and make an edit. Unfortunately I did not see any/or many sources yet on these pages. Could you add some? You might also want to look at the website for the Library of Virginia databases too. I have had good luck on those early databases. Good Luck, Debbie Freeman --DFree 10:57, 25 September 2009 (EDT) |
