Linked places [4 August 2007]

Hi there! Just a little FYI. All the red links on your pages for the places indicate that they aren't linking to a Place page. For instance, if "Huntington Co Ohio" was typed as "Huntington, Ohio, United States" it would link to the Place page that has been set up for that location. If you type slow enough, a little box will come up listing possible places you are trying to type, which will hopefully save you some time. Hope this helps and thanks for contributing to WeRelate! :)

Place names [4 August 2007]

Hi, Just FYI, WeRelate has a great place index. If you use the standardized place names, it will be easier for your cousins to find your pages. When the search engine searches for Smallville, Brown, Indiana, Untited States it won't see Smallville, Brown Co., Indiana as the same place. So, I fixed the links on Person:Lawrence Garretson (1). This will also link your person page to the appropriate place page. It's all about connecting with cousins and making it easier for them to find your pages. If you want to standardize your place names on your other pages, delete all but the smallest jurisdiction (town or county for the event, say Smallville,) add a comma. In a few seconds a drop down list of all places in the world that begin with that name will appear. Select the one you want. That's it. Your event is now linked to the place index. Hope this helps. :)--sq 20:06, 4 August 2007 (MDT)

Sorry, I didn't know Ronni had already mentioned the place index. :-D--sq 20:08, 4 August 2007 (MDT)

Elizabeth Byrd [11 August 2011]

Hi, Elizabeth was my grandmother, and I have done quite a bit in both Ft. Wayne an some in Huntington. I am going to update her, put in her death date and add my mother who has passed. I probably will also add my father's side also as most of them are passed also.

I would love to hear what other interesting bits you have on the Byrds, and aslo the Sonners if possible. I do have a cd with a lot of Sonner info, but it is too big to email.--EarthandIce 16:06, 11 August 2011 (EDT)

Cailey Family [11 August 2011]

I have a PDF of recent research into the Cailey family. Do you mind if I enter it? I have most of it on GEOCom or whatever that is.--EarthandIce 16:53, 11 August 2011 (EDT)
