Welcome to WeRelate. I hope you will enjoy this site. It is a little early here, but I will try to answer your question. On your question on manually adding a Family/Person Pages Question. WeRelate is very precise. Before you create a page you and WeRelate should check if someone has already created a Family page. Sometimes you will be researching one child and another user will be researching another child. When you add a person page, it only adds a person page. Once you add the person page you can then add a Family page by adding a spouse to the new person page. That should create a Family page. You can then add the children, sources ect. Please do add sources, or notes, or places there is way too many pages without these. There are text, and video tutorials as well as various volunteer user such as myself. Dallan and Solveig are also very open to questions. Please remember that WeRelate is in BETA, it is still in flux. Every so often it is a BETA issue not you that will cause you a problem. Please bring up any problems/questions so it can be reviewed. WeRelate is what we create. Since it is a Wiki. Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask more questions.
