Living Data [9 February 2010]

Hi, I am a volunteer admin. It's my job to patrol edits and help people learn the system. I noticed you added given names to pages for living people. Unless you have written permission of the living person, please revert the pages. It is unwise and in many places illegal to publish living data. This is a public site and many people worry about identity theft. If you need to revert the pages, you can choose contributions from the MyRelate menu. Click on the page title and then edit the pages to remove the identifying data.

Carson & Edna Paulsen family [1 March 2010]

Hello Carol,

Welcome to WeRelate. It looks like you and JonJay are researching this family. Do you have any sources to verify that all the children are deceased as well as their spouses are deceased too? If you do please add those sources to the family page. If it is "family knowledge" please add a note and someone might be able to help you locate a source based on that lead. Since WeRelate is available to any and all on the Internet we are very cautious about possible living people pages. If the person could be living and there is no date of death we HAVE to assume they and their spouse are still living. It looks like WeRelate User SQ is trying to help you in this area. Good Luck. This is commmon family knowledge. I am the granddaughter of Roy. My father was close to most of his aunts and uncles. I have a listing of birth and death dates of Carson and Edna as well as their children. The problem is that I can't find it right now. My mother has a copy so I will get it from her if I don't locate my own. I attended the funerals of all but Ruth, who died in California; Irma, who died when I was a child; and Edna, who died when I was away at school.--CarolPQ 16:08, 22 February 2010 (EST)

Thanks for getting back to me. There's really no hurry. I just needed to check. You can just type "dead" in the death date if you like, but its not required. --sq 11:43, 1 March 2010 (EST)
