Lars Johnson (1833 - 1919) [25 January 2014]

 Hi,
I am researching Lars Johnson (1833 - 1919) born in Rennesoy and died in Chippewa County, MN. I found your wiki page and felt it was imperative for me to create an account and contact you. Are you a descendant of Lars?
Something interesting (and shocking) occured recently when i tested my DNA for genealogy. A woman contacted me (after viewing my results) and expressed that we are cousins through a DNA segment associated with descendants of Lars Bjørnson Ekrene and Marta Larsdatter Nordbø.
Do you, or anyone in your family have personal details regarding Lars Johnson? Maybe some "skeletons in the closet" so to speak?
I read your short biography on Lars and a certain quote caught my attention: "There may have been something scandalous about Lars because the old ladies did not want to talk about him". Could it be that he had an illigetimate son? My great great grandfather, John Johnson (1858 - 1936), was born out of wedlock and i have yet to find a record with his father's name.
There are now five people on Family Tree DNA that i am a cousin to (via DNA analysis) that share this ancestry (listed above) and i am now 90% certain that i am a descendant of one of the three Johnson brothers (likely Lars).
It would be very interesting to hear from you. I would love to know if there is a family story or knowledge that would corroborate or debunk my inquiry.
 Sincerely,
 Devin Flato--Johnson1218 00:02, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
