I am searching for the parents of William M. Grantham. He was born 1827 Hardeman Tennessee d.03 April 1892 in Texas m. Ethalinda Malinda Bell in 30 Aug 1849 • Hardeman Co. TN. Most trees are confusing him with John W. Grantham who married Malinda Bryant. John W. Grantham parents are Amis Grantham and Margaret Williams. William M. parents are not Amis and Margaret. Joel of Hardeman Co. is not the father of William M. Grantham. William M. Grantham could also be William Lee Grantham. M could stand for Melton as one of his grandchildren was giving that middle name. One of his children is also named William Lee Grantham. The death certificate for James Benjamin Grantham list his father as W M. Grantom.

I am a bit confused with my Woodall line. The confusion starts with Jonathan Selfnire Woodall. What does not make sense to me is that a lot trees places his birth in 1740 and his wife's birth at 1740 yet their children were born in the 1792,1794,1799, and 1803. One researcher suggest that Selfnire was born in 1770 in Putnam Georgia which would make more sense to me.

I have that John Harris was married to Marry Polly Shackleford. The problem I encounter when comparing to other trees is the majority of them do not list their daughter Lacy Melissa mis Harris. I have that John was born in 1796 North Carolina and Mary Polly was born in 1794 North Carolina.
