Hello, All. A chance Google search of my maternal grandfather's maternal grandfather, one Eliphalet Brandenburg, has landed me here. My maternal grandfather's sister, Alma Rosetta Fisher Acton, and I were/are the family genealogists. I watched in utter amazement at the data already entered here as I compared it to material I had already gathered from her in the 1950's and 1960's. Almost everything tallied, and I thought I was dreaming. For now, I am keen to know who very many distant cousins are on the Brandenburg side, and I am curious to know where any Fishers of Indiana and Ohio might be. My maternal grandmother's people came from Denmark in the late 1860's, and both sides of my dad's family came from Sweden, his mother's people in 1870, his father's people in 1880. All were peasant stock, and I have tracked them as far as can be. I will turn my attention to these three branches later. |
