I took over my family history research in 1997, nine years after the death of my Grandmother Lena (Teed) Niles, who spent the greater part of her life researching the Niles and related families of principally Central New York. I have fortunately rescued many of her handwritten notes from a relatives cold, damp cellar and have been trying to digitize and organize the seemingly endless information over the years as my busy schedule allows. I have also created a homepage, http://www.nilesfamily.com, which contains some of this information, along with a database of where the Niles family is buried in the USA. |
