The southern Harrington lines are not connected to the southern Harrington, Herrington, Arrington, Arrenton family unless it was prior to coming to America pre colonial.

Our search as far as accurate documentation goes, starts with Charles and Agnes Hill Harrington of Chatham Co NC. Charles and Agnes were both born in VA. Surry County and Isle of Wight County VA respectively. Agnes was the daughter of Robert Hill, documented and named in his will.

Charles is believed to be the son of Thomas Harrington and Mary Whitmell of VA (unproven to date (2007)).

Charles and Agnes Hill Harrington had 11 children. 9 sons and 2 Daughters.
