I'm a direct descendent of John Kettell / Kettle. I've found 3 possible wives for him (Sarah Goodenow b. 17 Mar 1642 / Elizabeth Ward b. unk, Ipswich / Abigail Converse b. 13 oct 1658. I have an extensive spreadsheet documenting the inconsistencies.
I can confirm my line up to AMOS Kettell / Kittle b. 1767 d. 1849 who m. THANKFUL STRAIT 27 Jun 1793. THANKFUL STRAIT b. 07 Feb 1767 d. 22 May 1835.
Past Amos & Thankful, the research gets fuzzy and inconsistent and I find I'm in agreeance with the notes provided on this site about them. I am cautious to make any assumptions regarding any information further than Amos.
I'm reaching out in hopes to find someone else who is familiar with this line. Anything past Amos and Thankful to the present time I can, though cautiously and open minded, confirm due to this being my direct line of ancestors, and having been there to witness family discussions on the matter.
