Our family history, "The Rutherfords of Roxburghshire", has been privately published since the end of WWI. We are the descendants of James Rutherford of Lunenburg County, VA, a descendant of the Rutherford cadet of Hunthill. Our first editor was Ora Zelpha Rutherford, my great aunt, graduate of the University of Chicago - 1911. Her work was carried on by my mother, Betty Jeanné Rutherford and I am currently family editor of "The Rutherfords of Roxburghshire". We hope to add our maternal lines; Hagan, Phelps, Beard, Burchfield, Hyatt, Dunn, Smith, Burgess, McKinney and Ring in the near future.
