Hi, my father's name is Gertrudis Bernier:

My father grew up with a different family, away from his own family that is originally from Patillas, Puerto Rico. The family that was taking care of him never had much contact with my father’s family, so they don’t know much about them. My father dies when I was 3 year old, my brother was 2 year old, and my little sister was 1 year old. His family never came to see him, he die under a tree working on a land. They find him 4 days after his disappearing. After that we grow up without knowing who our real family was, until this years. We have been searching for information about him, so we interview lots of relatives who know some information and some names. That’s when I begin to search record files, and become a researcher of my family tree. I subscribe for a trial on ancestry.com and find those names that my relatives had told me, starting with my grandfather, my great grandfather and then I went on and on until, I find a really difficult to understand (Andres Bernier and Bernardina Rivera). I Begin to search information about them, but not much information was found. Then I find out that the family Bernier was coming from outside of Puerto Rico, I made some calculation on the years that this happened, and I make a really good discoveries… (…to be continued soon)
