Hi - I'm rather new to genealogy, having just taken it up in the last several years now that I have some time on my hands in semi-retirement. I have always loved history and what better way to learn more history than in the context of your own family's history. My roots run deep in the states of Virginia and Tennessee, particularly the SW Virginia/Eastern Tennessee area. I'm very proud that first Livingston ancestor came to America in 1650 to a creek leading into the York River and that same line also was in the thick of things during the revolution.
