My name is Donna Davidson (Gibbs). I'm from a small town in Arkansas called Fort Smith. Most all my family and ancestors were and are from this area. I am a widow with one son, a daughter in law and 4 grandkids, so as you can imagine​ I stay busy. I also have a full time job so I can only work on my family history in my spare time. I started working on my family history about 10 years ago. For the last 2 years I tried to push a little harder (not getting any younger)Lol. Well when my mom got diagnosed with Dementia and her memory of her family started fading away I decided it was time to get down to business. I came to realize that my grandchildren will never know my grandparents and others that have past that were important to me, so I decided I wanted to leave this all for them. They only have 3 grandparents and 2 great grandparents still living, only 3 uncles and 2 aunts and a handful of cousins because both my son and his wife had no siblings. Well my mission is to bring them back to life with my words and leave the memories I have with them. I want them to know​how talented their G'pa Mike ( my husband) was and how loving and kind hearted their Uncle Danny (my brother) was. I want them to feel like they held my Daddy's hand while walking and telling him about their day. I want them to feel like G'ma Calcote doctored their boo-boos while making them feel like they were in very safe hands. So bear with me while I learn how to do all this and I'm ok with all the help I can get or a slap on the wrist if I need it!
