Hi,
I am a native of Jackson County, Tennessee, a small rural county located in Middle Tennessee. Neighboring counties include Macon, Smith, Overton, Clay and Putnam. My family moved into this area in the late 1700s or early 1800s, mostly from Virginia or North Carolina. Records from Jackson County are often hard to find due to fires in the courthouse in 1872 and again in 1926.
