I have a good start with the Cowan name and my link with the DAR group listed. My mother, aunt, great grandmother all on the list. On that page it is discussed about letters to Indian Territory connecting the family. Sallie Gillespie Ambrister, I believe is my link there.
Another side of the family is the Curtis connection, well documented by my cousin in hard copy but it only goes to my great grandparents. My great grandfather assisting in the writing of the constitution of Oklahoma. I hope to get the entire lineage online from her research.
I have heard stories about my Germany and Irish lineages but nothing defined on those sides. But somehow one aunt found her way to family in Ireland. She is gone and so is the information on that. Another aunt did major research on the Beckman side, but that data is with other cousins.
I wish there was a way to indicate a definite relation on a page when you find one, like I did with the William Cowan person page. That whoever contributed or built the page would know that a new relation was linked.
