Hello! I am Bevin Creel, a native of Washington Parish, Louisiana, but currently residing in Washington, DC. This page is my effort to organize and, if possible/relevant, digitize my genealogical collection. I am the youngest of four children raised on a dairy farm three miles north of Franklinton in rural Washington Parish. I first became interested in genealogy with a fifth grade family history project, in 1985. Over the past quarter century, I have traveled far and wide collecting much of the material found in these trees, but I like to think that the happiest years of my genealogical life were the years 1985 and immediately thereafter, when I drove countless hours on the backroads of Washington Parish, Louisiana and surrounding areas with my grandmother...and any other relative unlucky enough to be with me at the time.

The passions of my genealogical life are twofold. First, on my mother's side, you have the Magee families of the southern states (and I stress the plural "families"). In a curious twist, the most complicated genealogical riddle I have ever encountered happens to be the very first branch that I began tracing in 1985, those cursed Magees. The second passion of my genealogical life are the various abstracts and transcripts of primary sources that may be found on my storefront at www.lulu.com. I have a peculiar fascination with unpublished records from Virginia during the Revolutionary War era, specifically, unpublished Revolutionary War records in the Library of Virginia in Richmond, as well as unpublished county court orders from various counties.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, when I can afford to do so. I also am an avid amateur weightlifter. Over the past few years, I have also taken up the painful hobby of marathoning. Finally, I could not mention hobbies and passions without pointing to the most important passion of them all, the LSU Fighting Tigers. Forever LSU!

I look forward to constructive dialogues with my fellow researchers and cousins regarding the information in my trees. Of course, I will be adding (and possibly subtracting) to these trees continually, as I find the time to do so. Thanks for reading!
