I am trying to find whatever happened to a relative of mine by the name of Nicholas Gentleman. Seems he lived in Platte Center, NE, and one day shot and killed one man, and wounded 3 others. Over hogs!

I did read from other family genealogy buffs, that Nicholas was found guilty and sentenced to 19 years. Was the State Pen in Lincoln in the 1800's or 1900's?

Anyone with any further info, please let me know.
