Defect 1

Anderson in Great Migration Begins, p. 603ff, says his wife Abigail in 1636 was admitted to the church, and that is the only known record of his wife's name. A wife named Elizabeth appears to come from Savage 2:88, but Anderson specifically comments on that by saying "there is no record evidence for this", it possibly appears to be assumption (or "confusion", as Anderson suggests) based on the daughter's name.

It is unknown how many wives George might have had. One possible explanation for George calling James White a son-in-law in his will (since he does not appear to have married a daughter of George's (m. Sarah Baker, and mentions father Baker in his will, so that appears to be Sarah's maiden name), is that George married the widow of Edward White, i.e., James mother. This theory is advanced by Anderson in Great Migration Continues, Vol. 7, p. 335. Her maiden name was Martha King. --Jrich 20:53, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
