John Poole of Reading is the father of William's first wife. His will names the two grandchildren John and Lydia Barrett born to William and first wife Sarah as well as son-in-law William. Savage is additionally unaware that William's third wife died less than a month after marriage, also of his fourth marriage (his widow Margaret made oath to his inventory). Savage does not mention many children mentioned in probate and deeds. The death date in 1689 belongs to William, the antecedent made unclear by Savage's sentence structure. --Jrich 13:41, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
