inhab. adm. of the ch. 20 Apr. and freem. 29 May 1644, by w. Margaret
had Timothy, b. 10, bapt. 23 Mar. 1645; Susanna, 26 Apr. bapt.
2 May 1647; John, bapt. 11 Feb. 1649, a. 8 days old, Joseph, a. 1651;
William, b. 23, bapt. 29 May 1653; Benjamin, 16, bapt. 22 July 1655,
wh. d. 5 Apr. 1669; Ebenezer, bef. ment. 14, bapt. 15 Mar. 1657;
was rep. for sev. yrs. 1685, 9-92, and d. 3 Nov. 1702. His sec. w.
Eliz. d. 19 Jan. 1694, and his will, pro. 17 Dec. foll. tho. made 7 Mar.
1699, ment. s. Timothy as long. abs. prob. d.; John; Joseph, made
excor.; William; and Ebenezer; beside and without
names. He bec. prop. at Concord bef. 1680, and perhaps sometimes
resid. there. TIMOTHY, Boston, s. of the preced. by w. Deborah had
Timothy, b. 6 July 1666; Zechariah, 20 Mar. 1670; and Margaret, 11
Nov. 1674; in 1676 had striking peril in shipwreck, being master
mariner, but with all his crew, after great hardships was saved, as in
Hubbard, 643, may be read; and was prob. lost at a much later day.
His wid. d. 13 Mar. 1716. WILLIAM, Boston, br. of the preced. by w.
Love had Samuel, b. 16 Sept. 1673, and prob. d. early.

    PROUTY, EDWARD, Scituate, eldest s. of Richard, by w. Elizabeth Howe,
had James, John, Richard, Edward, and Elisha, betw. 1711 and 1732,
beside, unless Deane be mistaken, Jacob, David, Adam, and Isaac, prob.
older, wh. he says, rem. to Spencer. ISAAC, Scituate, br. of the preced.
m. Elizabeth Merritt, had David, John, Caleb, Adam, Job, James, and Isaac,
as Deane says, b. betw. 1716 and 1732. RICHARD, Scituate 1670,
beside the two preced. had s. William wh. left descend. and d. Margaret,
wh. d. unm. at gr. age. Descend. are num.

    PROVENDER, JOHN, Charlestown, took the o. of fidel. 2 Dec. 1674.

    PRUDDEN, JAMES, Milford 1639, perhaps br. of Peter, d. 1648. His
d. Ann m. Samuel Coley a. 1640; and Elizabeth m. William Slough.
JOHN, Jamaica, L. I. s. of Peter, sett. in 1670 as min. there, rem. in
1692 to Newark, N. J. but resign. his charge 1699, and d. 11 Dec.
1725 in his 80th year. He left descend. Eliot says. PETER, Milford,
arr. with famous Davenport at Boston and at New Haven spent some
time next yr. and the foll. where was gather. the ch. of M. over wh. he
was sett 18 Apr. 1640, and d. July 1656, in 56th yr. Was he ever of
Wethersfield, as the diligent writer in Geneal. Reg. XI. 102 says?
Mather says, he had been a successf. preacher a. Herefordsh. and near
Wales; but caution is useful in receiv. the word of M. We kn. nothing,
