1697, Tabitha, d. of John Stodder, had Tabitha, 11 Sept. 1698; and
his w. d. 2 Mar. 1707; and he d. 12 Mar. 1730. JOHN, Falmouth
bef. 1690, s. of James, was driv. to Gloucester by the Ind. hostil.
aft. m. at F. Dorcas, d. of John Wallis, but at G. had Hepzibah, b.
1694; Mary, 1696; Joseph, 1698; Benjamin, 1700; Deborah, 1703;
and Job, 1705; beside James, John, Dorcas, Josiah, Sarah, and

b. 17 Sept. 1701; Robert, 1 July 1704, wh. d. young; Lydia, 9 June
1706; John, 20 Apr. 1708; and Daniel, 11 Apr. 1710. His w. d. 22
Apr. foll. and he m. 16 Jan. 1711, Hannah Parke, had Hannah, 14
Oct. foll. Robert, 4 Nov. 1713; Joseph, 11 Feb. 1715; Stephen, 1
Aug. 1719; and Joseph, 8 May 1723. JONATHAN, Killingworth,
younger br. of the preced. m. 1 Feb. 1711, Mercy, eldest d. of William
Welman, had Elizabeth b. 17 Mar. 1712; Nathan, 22 July 1717; Zeruiah,
6 Sept. 1723; and his w. d. 13 Nov. 1727. He m. next 17 Sept. 1730,
Patience Strong, had Jonathan, 22 Dec. 1731; Noah, 13 Jan. 1734;
and d. 7 Nov. 1759. His wid. d. 18 Aug. 1773. JOSHUA, a soldier
under capt. Turner in Mar. 1676, on Conn. riv. from E. part of the
Col. was aft. at Falmouth. JOSIAH, Hingham, s. of George, by w.
Mary had only Mary, b. 26 Sept. 1671, and the mo. d. in 5 days.

27 Jan. 1675; George, 22 June 1677; Deborah, 21 Nov. 1679; Sarah,

day; Peter, again, 2 Mar. 1690, d. at 3 mos.; Peter, again, 15 July

He may be the man, by Field, 107, said to be from Derbysh. and an
early sett. but with no more precise date, at Killingworth. He m. 19
Dec. 1665, Sarah, d. of John Picket, had Sarah, b. 24 Feb. 1667; Hannah,
26 Dec. 1668; Daniel, 27 July 1671; John, 12 July 1674; Elizabeth 31 Jan. 1677;
Margaret, 18, but ano. rec. says, 25 Aug. 1679; Rebecca, 7 Mar. 1682;
Jonathan, 16 Oct. 1685; and Mary, 23 Sept. 1688. In 1695 he rem. to K.
there d. 12 Apr. 1718; and his wid. d. 11 Mar. 1725. He was rep. for S.
1686. SAMSON, Portsmouth 1631, one of Mason's men, said to have
come from Teignmouth in Devon, purch. 1646 the est. that had been Thomas
Wannerton's and was then call. master of the Neptune of Dartmouth, in 1650
mortga. the est. and his other prop. includ. a ship on the stocks to
Ambrose L. bef. ment. and prob. went home. SAMUEL, Hadley, had
been a soldier, 1676, from the E. under capt. Turner, m. 11 Dec. 1677,
Sarah, d. of the first John Dickinson of H. had Samuel, and Sarah, rem.
to Suffield, there had Mary, b. 7 May 1684; John, 3 Apr. 1686; and
Elizabeth and he d. a 1690, leav. these five ch. and his wid. m. 27 Feb.
1691, Martin Kellogg. WILLIAM, Dorchester 1641, from whose will,
made 28 Feb. 1651, pro. 6 July 1654, we learn that he had s. Andrew,
and George, both of Hingham, d. Mary Long, and Eliz. w. of Thomas
Rider
, beside ds. whose bapt. names are not seen, ws. of Nathaniel
Baker
, and of Thomas Lincoln of Hingham. WILLIAM, Boston 1651,
freem. 1657, by w. Mary had Samuel, b. 23 Jan. 1652; John, 5 Feb.
1654; and Mary, 15 May 1656, says rec. in Geneal. Reg. IX. 312.
