Aug. 1669, Hannah Bishop, and by this third w. had Mary, 19 June
1670, d. soon; Hannah, 10 Aug. 1671, Mary, again, 9 Sept. 1673; Elizabeth
1675; Thomas, 26 Apr. 1679, d. young; Abigail, 22 Aug. 1683; and Desire,
25 Mar. 1687. He d. 1718. JOSEPH, New Haven, br. of the preced. m. 2
June 1680, Esther Winstone, had Thomas, b. 23 Mar. 1682; Esther, 3
Sept. 1684; Sarah, 1686; Joseph, 1688; Ephraim, 1694; Dorothy, Sept.
1695; Benjamin, Apr. 1699; Mary, June 1702; and Samuel, July 1705;
and d. 1711. RICE, Charlestown, by w. Esther had Hannah, bapt. 29
Nov. 1634; and Esther, b. 6, bapt. 14 Mar. 1641, perhaps more, and
d. 5 Apr. 1647. But the name appears Morus in Geneal. Reg.IX.
170. RICHARD, Boston 1630, came prob. in the fleet with Winthrop as
he and w. Lenora were very early of the ch. Nos. 64 and 5, and he was
made freem. 18 May 1631 with the title of serj. and so perhaps a
hired officer, bec. lieut. at Roxbury soon aft. and was rep. 1635, ar. co.
1637, but favoring the cause of Rev. John Wheelwright, was disarm.
and with that heresiarch went to Exeter, 1638. The name is first on
our ch. rec. writ. Maurice, and when, 6 Jan. 1639, dismiss. was gr. to
Wheelwright and eight others, includ. him, "unto the ch. of Christ. at
the falls of Paschiataqua, if they be rightly gathered and ordered," the
spelling is Morrys. It is wrong in Drake's diligent Hist. 224, as it was
first in Belknap, wh. Farmer did not correct. RICHARD, Portsmouth,
R. I. 1643, then among the freem. 1655, seems to be the same as preced.
ROBERT, Rehoboth 1640, d. bef. 1647. Baylies, II. 200, 203. ROBERT,
Hartford, br. of John, was divorc. from w. had no ch. d. 19 Nov. 1684.

had Samuel, b. 13 Aug. 1695; Benjamin, 18 Oct. 1696; Mehitable,
25 June 1698; Rebecca, 15 Sept. 1699; Hannah, 9 Nov. 1700;
Dorothy, 1 Feb. 1702; and Prudence, 31 Jan. 1703; and w. d. 8
Feb. foll. THOMAS, New Haven 1639, by w. Elizabeth had John; Hannah,
b. 14 Mar. 1642, bapt. 18 June 1643; Elizabeth perhaps bapt. 10 Dec. foll.;
John; Eleazer, bapt. 29 Oct. 1648; Thomas and Ephraim, tw. b. 3,
bapt. 5 Oct. 1651, of wh. Ephraim d. next day, but Thomas liv.
over 21 yrs.; and Joseph, b. 25 Mar. bapt. 25 May, 1656. His
wid. Elizabeth d. 1681, and he d. 21 July 1673. His will, of 11 July
preced. gives est. to the ds. and John, Eleazer, and Joseph, wh.
were props. 1685. Hannah m. 1662, Thomas Lupton. THOMAS,
Boston, of wh. no more is kn. than that he d. quite early, for his will
was on p. 18 now missing of our first vol. of Pro. Rec. if we may trust
the index. THOMAS, Casco 1652, perhaps next yr. at Dover. WILLIAM,
Portsmouth, R. I. 1655, was perhaps, br. of Richard, may have
liv. at Westerly. WILLIAM, Charlestown, 1658, perhaps of Boston,
there by w. Dorcas had William, b. 18 Dec. 1665, rem. prob. to
Wethersfield, and was freem. of Conn. 1669, and d. 1697.
